On 21st November, the INFORM Day organised in Montpellier, entitled “New regulation on personal data protection (GDPR and Directive 2016/680)” and held under the INFORM project, has gathered a hundred representatives of several areas of the public and the private sectors.

Moderated by magistrates, attorney-at-laws, representatives of the Ministry for Justice and of the National Police, professors and lecturers, researchers, data protection officers and cybersecurity referents, the event has been an opportunity to discuss the content of the GDPR, the interrelations between this legislation and the NIS Directive, the Cloud Act and cybersecurity, the impact of the new legislation on judicial and Police activities, the benefits brought by this new legislation, requirements and tools for compliance, and new pedagogical approaches and training offers that go hand or should go hand to this new legal framework.
